Rising Brisbane artist Hope D has announced her debut EP is set for release next month and she'll be heading out on the road to celebrate!
Brisbane's Hope D introduced herself back in 2019 with 'Swim', but it was her 2020 singles 'Second', 'Common Denominator' and 'Miscommunicate' which firmly solidified her as a serious name to keep an eye on. Now, wasting no time getting right back down to business in 2021, she has announced the forthcoming release of her debut EP and a national tour to celebrate.
Titled Cash Only, this EP is a collection of seven songs, and although it's been in the making for about three years, it really came together over the last twelve months with the help of producer Hugh Middleton. Touching on themes of the journey from self-acceptance to self love as well as breaking hearts and having hers broken right back, addiction, coming out and much more, Cash Only looks set to distill all that Hope D is as an artist: raw, relatable and honest.
Hope D said in a press release, “With everything I’ve ever written and will write, I want listeners to feel like they’re not alone. I aim to write with a wide range of topics, themes and feelings to try to make people know that they are not invisible.”
