German superclub Index holds drive-in raves in their carpark

A German club has taken the rave from inside to outside, taking over their own carpark to have drive-in raves over the weekend.

German superclub INDEX has held a trio of parties they called Autodiscos over the weekend while keeping with social distancing restrictions.

Taking the rave from the club to the carpark, they have implemented measures to hold drive-in raves, and aren't the only ones trying out this latest trend. Strict measures were in place including a capacity of 250 cars with a maximum of two people per car.

The club, which held three drive-in raves from April 30th to May 2nd, follows on from an event earlier this week in Denmark selling out almost instantly, as NME reports. Musician Mads Langer headlined the night, and audio was transmitted to the cars present via FM radio.

This is the latest effort from the global music industry to attempt to kickstart events back off as countries still grapple with the outbreak of COVID-19. From countless livestreams and virtual festivals to even designing a pandemic proof rave-suit, it's all hands on deck across the world to find solutions to the crisis!
