Charli XCX has taken to social media to tell fans she's set to make a brand new album "from scratch" while in isolation, titled 'How I'm Feeling Now'.
CHARLI XCX's social media content has been the gift that keeps on giving during the COVID-19 pandemic. From sharing her diary entries to Instagram Live PT sessions with DIPLO to DJ sets for GRINDR, she has been consistently relatable in trying to keep sane during isolation. Now, she's set to go one further and has announced she'll be channeling her energy into creating a whole new album.
With a working title of How I'm Feeling Now, Charli has shared on social media that this album is hopefully due for release next Month on May 15th and will be made while in isolation. Filming herself with the butterfly filter, she said the album will be quite DIY in that she'll only be using what is readily available to her now, and will be working on getting as many people involved as possible with the power of the internet.
Always one to champion innovative collaboration, Charli XCX shared that she'll be reaching out to some artists to get involved in the process while also working with fans closer than ever before with the creation of a new email address where fans can send ideas, beats and references, as well as Zoom conferences where she'll ask fans for opinions and ideas. "Anyone who wants to be involved can explore their creativity alongside mine," she said.
How I'm Feeling Now will be the follow up to Charli XCX's critically acclaimed Charli album which was released last year. This news comes after Charli mysteriously deleted all of her Instagram content and tweeted a similarly mysterious tweet with the black hole emojis.
