The Canberra boys are riding High
Ascendant Canberran club-chart dominators Peking Duk have another achievement to tuck under their swiftly expanding accolade belts, with the revelation that their wildly successful #1 ARIA Club single High, featuring Nicole Millar, has achieved Double Platinum status.
High marks the rising duo's third consecutive ARIA Club Chart #1, following Feels Like and The Way You Are. The track peaked at #5 on the ARIA Singles Chart.
Now, as the Splendour In The Grass 2014 drawcards prepare to drop another new single – Take Me Over – next month in collaboration with Ben Woolner-Kirkham of ACT trio SAFIA, Peking Duk have revealed they'll be setting out on the road for a national tour this August.
With the sold-out Splendour festival marking the unofficial starting point for the jaunt, the pair will head to Sydney's Oxford Art Factory for two shows, on Wednesday, August 6, and Saturday, August 9 (sold out), hit The Met in Brissy on August 12, Bendigo's Karova Lounge on August 13.

The duo will then head to Melbourne for the first two of its four shows, with both of those encounters, on August 14 and 15, at the Corner Hotel being sold out already. They'll swing home for a quick stop at Canberra's Meche (August 16) before looping back for Melbourne's final two shows on August 17 and 18, the first of which is also sold out, leaving the final show Victorians' only opportunity to see Peking Duk in the flesh.
The tour wraps up at Perth's Villa Nightclub, with a show on August 23 (sold out) and 24.
If you're planning on getting along to one of the remaining non-sold-out shows, we'd suggest that you act sooner rather than later, because the momentum surrounding this swiftly exploding electro act will only pick up steam from here.
