Returning next March!

More New Order More New Order

Long-serving UK rock outfit New Order have announced two huge Australian dates for 2020.

Last in the country as part of VIVID 2016, the iconic group will perform in Sydney and Melbourne next March, offering up hits from the past four decades.

Speaking with The Music ahead of the tour announcement, keyboardist Gillian Gilbert noted of the group’s formation in the ‘80s: "It was just something completely new. We took everything in little stages, really.

“We didn't think that we would ever become, like, over 35 years old [as a band] with this entire back catalogue [laughs]. And people still want to see you so, yeah! It's quite an achievement and I feel quite lucky to still be doing it."

New Order was formed by members of Joy Division following the passing of singer Ian Curtis in 1980 and released their 10th studio album, Music Complete, in 2015.

Confidence Man will support in Sydney and Melbourne, joined in the latter city by Cut Copy.
