Mumford & Sons Announce New Album

The follow up to their smash hit debut is just over two months away.

More Mumford & Sons More Mumford & Sons

Sigh No More, the debut record from Mumford & Sons, was a ridiculously successful album that saw this band come from nowhere to be one of the most talked about groups in the world. Over here it went platinum three times and hit the number one position on the ARIA Album Charts, Little Lion Man from it was voted as the number one song in the triple j Hottest 100 and they even beat out some of the world's biggest pop stars to be voted Australia's most popular international act at the ARIA Awards.

This popularity has stretched far and wide, they do great business in the US as well as their native UK and they manage to get close to a great deal of fantastic artists; recent collaborations with the likes of Bob Dylan and Paul Simon showing the kind of respect they demand.

It has almost been three years since they released that smash hit debut, but they are finally ready to follow it up and blow that second album syndrome out of the water; well at least that'll be what they're hoping to do. The band have announced that album number two will be called Babel and that it will be released in Australia through Dew Process/Universal on Friday 21 September.

The tracklist is as follows:
