Australia's Cookin' On 3 Burners leap into the UK Top Five this week as the Kungs' remix of their track This Girl continues to rule the European club season.

In its fourth week in the UK charts, This Girl moves from ten to four. It is also number two on the UK sales and downloads charts, number nine in their Streaming Chart and has leapt to number two in Scotland.

The track features the vocals of local soul singer Kylie Auldist, a long-time member of funk act The Bamboos — Cookin' On 3 Burners being a project of fellow Bamboo Lance Ferguson.

Now Auldist is set to drop a new EP of electro boogie and disco funk cuts called Waste Of Time.

It's been four years since Auldist last released a solo album, unleashing Still Life back in 2012 — it garnered interest in the UK and scored scattered BBC radio play.

The new EP finds her back with producer, and Burners partner, Ferguson alongside co-producer Graeme Pogson (the 'G' part of Sydney faves GL).

Together they've aimed for a sound that evokes the glory days of "early '80s club classics" by the likes of Chaka Khan, D Train and Sharon Redd.

The EP lands 8 July via Freestyle Records.
