This is bizarre and not even a hoax…
The hotly anticipated new record from French electronic duo Daft Punk, Random Access Memories, is set to make its world debut in the tiny North West New South Wales town of Wee Waa.
The Wee Waa Show takes place on Friday 17 May and, along with the pet show, dog high jump, showgirl competition, cross cut saw competition and fireworks people can hear the first album in eight years from one of the world's most popular musical acts for the very first time.
Hoaxes about the band's new album have circulated far and wide for months, heating up over the past couple of weeks as a series of fake album leaks and tour dates have surfaced online, tricking thousands.
Wee Waa has a population of just 1,689 people but thousands are expected to flock to the town for the show in 2013. Tickets are limited to just 4,000 but, don't worry, members of the Wee Waa Show Society will be guaranteed tickets.
