New Camping Festival Confirmed For Sydney's Cockatoo Island

Sydney is about to be hit with a festival of a different kind this February, with urban camping party FACT Weekender confirmed for Cockatoo Island.

The event will play host to over 50 local and internationals DJs, showcasing a range of electronic and dance music. We don't have any names as yet, but the headlining act is set to be announced at the festival's official launch on Wednesday 13 November.

There will be local and international stages, plus a Silent Disco King Australia arena, which will host a DJ competition. The second day of the event will also ask punters to celebrate the island's history through fancy dress.

Now to the camping or as organisers are calling it, 'glamping'. There will be a special tent set up, complete with beds, mattresses, bedding, towels, lounges and more.

FACT Weekender, hosted by Essential Events Management in association with FACT Worldwide, will take place Saturday 1 and Sunday 2 February. Early bird tickets are available this Monday 4 November via the official website - there will only be a limited amount of tickets available to this one too considering the size of the location.
