Young had previously described the affair as a "corporate turn - off", but has since changed his position.

Just days after publicly stating he would not be headlining the 2025 edition of the Glastonbury Festival, Canadian rock veteran Neil Young has reversed his stance and confirmed his attendance.
Young’s initial stance on the fest arrived last week when he took to his website to share the news with his fans.
“The Chrome Hearts and I were looking forward to playing Glastonbury, one of my all time favorite outdoor gigs,” Young wrote. “We were told that BBC was now a partner in Glastonbury and wanted us to do a lot of things in a way we were not interested in.
“It seems Glastonbury is now under corporate control and is not the way I remember it being. Thanks for coming to see us the last time!”
As it stands, Young’s sole trip to the English festival took place in 2009 – 12 years after he was forced to pull out due to injury.

“We will not be playing Glastonbury on this tour because it is a corporate turn - off, and not for me like it used to be,” Young added.
No information was shared as to the nature of Young’s complaint with the festival this time around, though speculation did surround the potential it was related to Glastonbury’s longtime partnership with the BBC, which began globally broadcasting the event just last year.
Now, however, Young has reversed his decision, again taking to his website to share some brief confirmation that he will indeed be appearing at Glastonbury in June.
“Due to an error in the information received, I had decided to not play the Glastonbury festival, which I always have loved,” Young wrote. “Happily, the festival is now back on our itinerary and we look forward to playing! Hope to see you there!”
Much like the impeteus for his initial decision, it’s unclear what the “error in the information received” refers to, however, given Young’s noted desire not to tour unless it could be done in an environmentally-sustainable manner, there could be some connection between his values and the supposed “corporate turn - off” he had described Glastonbury as being.
The full lineup of the 2025 Glastonbury Festival is yet to be revealed, with so far only Rod Stewart being announced for the festival, appearing in the annual Legends slot. Now, Young ostensibly joins the lineup, though his appearance is yet to be confirmed by organisers.
