Swedish death metal band Necrophobic have fired vocalist Tobias Sidegård in the wake of Sidegård's domestic abuse conviction.
Sidegård was originally sentenced in September to 18 months in prison after being found guilty of spousal and child abuse against his wife and daughters. This sentence has since been reduced to six months.
Understandably, his Necrophobic bandmates have now offically parted ways ways with the frontman.
"Tobias is no longer a member of Necrophobic." said the band in a statement.
"The verdict following his trial regrettably left us, the band, with no other choice. As stated before, Necrophobic do not accept or tolerate domestic violence in any way. We will now search for a replacement. Tobias will make a statement of his own within the next couple of days, which he will publish on his Facebook page."
The band will release latest album 'Womb of Lilithu' on October, 25 through Season of Mist.
