The album is "about being smart enough to know you're getting real stupid".
Indie-electronic four-piece Near Myth are set to launch their debut album Idiot Mystic, which was released in October last year, at Melbourne’s The Workers Club on 2 Feb.
The album, about being smart enough to know you're getting real stupid, showcases the band's reductive, minimal sound and their avoidance of layering instruments.
Near Myth, who describe themselves as pioneering fantasy-noir academics, will be joined on the night by other Melbourne acts Golden Girls and Real Feelings.
