Missy HigginsOne of Australia's favourite music video directors, Natasha Pincus, has taken out the fan-voted ARIA Award for best video for Missy Higgins' Everyone's Waiting.
It was the second year in a row that Pincus has won the award, after picking it up last year for her work on Gotye's Somebody That I Used To Know.
Taking place at The Star's Rocklilly venue in Sydney last night, it was the first award of the ARIA Awards' inaugural ARIA Week. In her acceptance speech she said she was humbled that fans took the time to vote for the video, and that is was “something I'll think about every time I look at this award.”
This is the first time that the award has been voted by the public.
ARIA Ceo Dan Rosen said that the video was “a visual and emotional journey of this very special song, one which struck a chord with Australian music fans.”
Missy Higgins is also nominated for three other awards this year, including Album Of The Year and Best Adult Contemporary Album for The Ol' Razzle Dazzle and Best Female Artist, which she's won twice before. The main ARIA Awards will take place Thursday 29 November.
