They'll be paying homage to Narara's original line-ups in a cool way though

Narara Music Festival are back in 2017, a massive 33 years after the last notes rang out in 1984 from the likes of Mental As Anything, Def Leppard and Eurythmics. They've announced the comeback line-up today — and though it's not a nostalgic list of our favourite '80s acts — it's still a cracker featuring acts like blues rockers The Snowdroppers, alt rockers Lepers & Crooks, Polish Club and more.

With a commitment to "rock and blues … no folk, no alt-country, no electronica", other acts on the bill include Kiama trio The Vanns, Chase The Sun, Wild Honey, Bones Jones & The Skeletones, Transvaal Diamond Syndicate, Papa Pilko & The Binrats, Space Carbonara, Dos Enos and Ivy.

In homage to Narara bills of yesteryear, each act on 2017's bill will be playing covers of bands like INXS, Rose Tattoo, The Angels, Cold Chisel and more.

Narara Music Festival will be held at Mt Penang Gardens in Kariong (after a venue upgrade) and will set up shop on 6 May 2017.
