MY DISCOMelbourne noise-rock trailblazers My Disco will celebrate ten years as a band with a show in February, ten years to the month since the trio played their first shows in Melbourne.
For Ben Andrews, Liam Andrews and Rohan Rebeiro the band has since developed into one of Australia's best-loved secrets (and one of Asia's favourite touring bands), with three albums and a bag of other smaller releases to their name. The band are currently working on their fourth album – after the cult-loved Cancer in 2006, the polarising but breakout Paradise in 2008 and the groovy Little Joy in 2010 – which they hope to release September 2013. A single will arrive in April through a “well respected” North American label, which the band are yet to reveal details of.
The band's anniversary show will take place at Melbourne's Corner Hotel, with a line-up that also includes New War, Standish/Carlton, Max Crumbs, Absolute Boys and Brain Children.
