THIS IS REAL!!!

More My Chemical Romance More My Chemical Romance

My Chemical Romance have shocked fans around the world with today's announcement that the band will reunite to perform a special show in the US this December.

The New Jersey-founded group confirmed they will play their first show together since 2012 at LA's Shrine Expo Hall on 20 December, however no official statement from the band is yet to be released.

Since splitting in 2013, speculation of a My Chemical Romance reunion has been consistent with even The Used frontman, Bert McCracken, telling The Music last year that the reformation was "just a matter of time".

"That's my solid belief. It's only a matter of time," he said.

"The band all gets along, I don't think there's any issues there.

"I think [frontman Gerard Way] was exploring his creativity and I'm 95% sure it's a fact that they will be returning."

Way has since established a successful career in comic books and wrote The Umbrella Academy (which has been adapted into a TV series on Netflix), as well as worked on The True Lives Of The Fabulous Killjoys and Doom Patrol.
