The annual Reclink Community Cup has come and gone for another year, with the Rockdogs taking out the 2014 prize yesterday.
The team, comprised by a host of local Melbourne musicians, put an end to consecutive draws to take out the cup, edging out the Triple R/PBS FM Megahertz team by nine points (52 to 43). Roots muso Benny Walker was voted best on ground, receiving the Stephen Connelly award.
The event raised over $100,000 for Reclink Australia, who aim to help the lives of disadvantaged people in remote and isolated communities.
The day's entertainment included skydivers, family-friendly activities and plenty of music from the likes of The Smith Street Band, Saskwatch and David Bridie.
The Sydney Community Cup will be announced later this week.
