Big names are on their way.

With the 2016 Bush Bands Bash just weeks away, it has today been announced that a string of Aussie music legends will be heading to Alice Springs to help some of the Aboriginal bands prepare for the event.

Confirmed on the bill this year includes Midnight Oil frontman Peter Garrett, who will make his debut appearance at the event, as well as Violent FemmesBrian Ritchie and Territory artist and mentor Buzz Bidstrup.

Now seven years in, the Bush Bands Business connects musicians from remote Aboriginal communities with top music industry figures for three days of workshops and rehearsals all leading up to the Bash, this year taking place on Sunday, 28 August at The Telegraph Station.
