He'll be speaking at Face The Music too
In town later this year for the Face The Music summit in Melbourne, US music critic Anthony Fantano — also known as The Needle Drop on YouTube — has announced a handful of east coast headline shows.
You may be wondering how music reviewing may translate to a stage; Fantano will be bringing live presentations, complete with discussions and multimedia pieces, to his tour. He'll be chatting about the merits of album reviewing, how context can impact your taste for genre and more. Think of it as a mini Ted Talk.
Fantano has also announced that his alter-ego Cal Chuchesta will be in tow for a one-off appearance. He'll be bringing his talks to Brisbane on 11 November and two shows in Sydney on 13 November.
