Mushroom Group’s Cara Williams has launched a new promotions company aimed at the independent and underground music and arts scenes.
Solo venture Slow Clap will focus on publicity, marketing, campaign management and content development, utilising William’s 15 years of music industry experience.
“I'm completely inspired by women in the Australian music industry who are running their own businesses and are totally smashing it,” Williams told The Music.
“Amanda Vitartas at Future Popes, Em and Bec at Deathproof, Sarah at This Much Talent, Lorrae at Our Golden Friend... the list goes on. These are women bursting with talent, intelligence, tenacity and passion, and the people I looked towards when building up the courage to go out on my own.”
Over the past two years, Williams has been Studio Manager at Mushroom Creative House, which saw her work alongside some of the world's biggest artists and Australia’s largest tours, festivals, releases and more.
