What do you get when you combine block rocking beats, indie heart-throb bands, and a "responsible amount" of booze crammed into teapots? I'll tell you - You get a night chock full of debauchery and good times that measures 'ultra-party' on the Richter scale.
Yep, that's right folks, it's just another week in the life of MUM @ The World Bar, home and showcase to the latest and greatest local and national talent that's currently on offer - all succinctly rolled into one little multi-storey bar and club for your partying pleasure.
This week, the venue is hosting the headlining group 8 BIT LOVE. The dance punk dudes from Melbourne will be making their way up for part of their ABC-Side tour, and are sure to be bringing the party with them along the way.
Amongst 8 BIT LOVE, bleeps and bloops, synthesizers and drum machines are all sure to make an appearance with a stunningly eclectic all-star lineup of local treasures. Headlining in the disco den is Blue Mountains native SPOONTY, who has just released his first full length album - a collection of sample-based beats encased in a crystallized haze (reminiscent of early Gold Panda, perhaps?).
Next to SPOONTY is the funky new Sydney disco dudes on the block - MIDNIGHT POOL PARTY are set to be playing the upstairs in support of 8 BIT LOVE.

A bunch of other rad dudes will be joining forces on the lineup to make sure this a night to remember. Dudes like TAKING BERLIN, FANS DJ's, LOLA SIREN, FEARGHAL DELICIOUS, THE TONGUE, DJ SKOOB & JK ROLLIN are also set to be pumping out the party tunes into the wee hours of the morning.
With the cracking lineup coupled with the extra enticing news of $5 Tecate, $6 Sailor Jerry's, and even news of a possible twerking contest (may or may not be actually happening) you'd be a fool not to get down to MUM @ The World Bar this Friday the 18th Oct for a night that you could bring ya mum to!
