Applications are now open!

With its 10th anniversary quickly approaching, Mullum Music Festival’s Youth Mentorship Program has unveiled its 2019 mentors.

Applications are now open across four categories, with Hussy Hicks (vocal), Juzzie Smith (singer-songwriter), The Wilson Pickers’ Andrew Morris (band) and Mandy Hawkes (under 15 years) all throwing their support behind emerging talent this year.

Since its launch in 2009 by Mullum Music Festival director Glenn Wright and local high school music teacher Tom Whitaker, the program has helped more than 50 young musicians under 21 years old, including Parcels, TORA, Merryn Jeann and more, with previous mentors including the likes of Husky, Harry James Angus, Lior, Mama Kin and William Crighton, just to name a few.

Winners will receive a one-on-one rehearsal and info session with their mentor, a 20-minute performance at the festival and the opportunity to watch their mentor's set from backstage.

Applications are now open and you can find more details via the Mullum Music Festival website.
