Mullum Music FestivalThe winners for two festival competitions have been revealed, with the names announced for Mullum Festival and Falls Festival Byron Hitting The Road Songwriting Competition and Mullum's Youth Mentorship Program.
Starting with the songwriting comp, NSW north coast muso Bill Jacobi has taken out the prize, which means he will perform at both Mullum and Falls Byron over the coming weeks. His winning song Ride has also scored him a feature in local roots publication Rhythms Magazine.
And four emerging artists have won the chance to be mentored by a few of the country's more established acts. Here they are:
Singer-songwriter: Asha Jefferies (mentored by Caitlin Park)
Band: Function (mentored by Skipping Girl Vinegar)
Vocal: Emmuna Aloni (mentored by Aluka)
Under 15's: Mali Biggin (mentored by Mr Cassidy)
These guys will also get to take the stage at Mullum next week.
