Tkay MaidzaMTV Australia has launched its Brand New series in Down Under for the first time, a competition allowing up-and-coming Aussie and Kiwi acts to crack the international scene by allowing the public to vote on their favourite artists.
Experiencing huge success in the UK where the show brought mega-acts like Jessie J, Charli XCX and James Bay to the fore, the Australian version of the show will feature ten shortlisted contestants.
You'll be voting and cheering on Thomston, Tkay Maidza, Conrad Sewell, At Sunset, Carmada, Chris Watts, Cosmos Midnight, Winterbourne, Josef Salvat and Set Mo — some of whom you already know, of course, what with Conrad Sewell scoring #1 on the ARIA Singles chart with Start Again, and Tkay Maidza shredding festival stages country-wide.
The ten-week competition will kick off today with voting closing on 13 September, after which a winner's showcase will take place in Sydney.
