Moving Pictures Return With Greatest Hits Album & Tour Dates

The boys are back.

'80s Aussie rock legends Moving Pictures have announced a return to the stage in support of their forthcoming greatest hits acoustic album, Picture This.

After calling it a day 1987, the band have reunited for just a few performances including a sell-out tour of 2011 in celebration of the 30th anniversary of the group's debut album Days Of Innocence.

The Sydney-founded act have returned to the recording studio for an acoustic selection of classic tracks to be featured on the album which is due for release on Friday 9 October. 

Speaking on the new project, co-founder and guitarist Garry Frost said: "We have been busily reworking the songs with a few surprises including a very special cover, a stunning new tune and a song from a movie that we said we would never, EVER play."

"We are all really looking forward to getting back out and playing.”

The official album launch will take place at Sydney's The Basement on Wednesday 30 September, followed by performances at A Day On The Green in Mudgee, Live At The Foreshore in Newcastle and Perth's A Day On The Green.

Moving Pictures will also join James Reyne on his tour across Australia later this year.
