The event also has a new home

Tasmania's MONA FOMA festival is back again in 2014 and they've locked in a very eclectic range of artists for the event.

The five-day bonanza of music, dance, theatre, visual arts and lasers (yes, lasers) has a new home for next year too, with the event to take place at the Macquarie Wharf in Hobart.

Let's get back to the line-up though. San Franscisco experimental outfit Matmos, Melbourne dance duo Client Liaison, Mick Harvey playing tribute to Serge Gainsbourg, local black metal act Striborg and English electro band The Orb are just some of the names locked in for the January event. Check out the full line-up below:

Ansgar Wallenhorst, Astronautalis, Australian Art Orchestra with Ngaiire, Australian Chamber Orchestra Quartet, Chris Thile, Client Liaison, Colin Stetson, Conrad Shawcross: Ada, Faux Mo, John Grant, Kim Myhr & Kjell Bjørgeengen, Matmos, Mick Harvey does Serge Gainsbourg, Morning Meditations, Orquesta Típica Fernández Fierro, Perch Creek Family Jug Band, Pixar in concert with Tasmanian Symphony Orchestra, Psycroptic, Robin Fox, Roland Tings, Slave Pianos & Punkasila with Michael Kieran Harvey & Rachel, Sarawati, Striborg, Sun Ra Arkestra, The Bombay Royale, The Julie Ruin, The Orb, Tyondai Braxton: Hive

This year's festival is being curated by Brian Ritchie of the Violent Femmes and The Break, along with MONA senior curators Nicole Durling and Olivier Varenne. With more than 200 artists set to perform all up, this could very well be the biggest installment of the event since its inception in 2009.
