Modular Replaces Booking Agency With The Musique

Pick up The Laurels, Straight Arrows as Martin Doyle enters the fold

Modular have launched a new booking and talent agency The Musique Agency which will replace the existing Modular Agency and incorporate Magic Cactus' roster.

Paul Stix of the Modular Agency will partner with fellow agent, Magic Cactus' Martin Doyle in the venture. Doyle, who has had stints with Ivy league, Inertia and Sydney's GoodGod Small Club, brings his artist management and booking clients The Laurels, Holy Balm, Straight Arrows and Super Wild Horses to the new agency, where they join artists from the Modular Agency.

Modular founder and Creative Director Stephen Pavlovic said, “As a company we're pleased to be expanding to represent some of the best talent our country has to offer. Working at the forefront of the electronic and contemporary music scene, The Musique Agency will be representing the booking and domestic strategies of a number of artists both established and emerging.”

Artists which were previously on Modular Agency's roster that don't appear on The Musique's include internationals Friendly Fires DJs, Hot Chip DJ Set and Azari & III.

In alphabetical order, the agency's roster includes 100 Million Nights, The Avalanches, Ariane, Bag Raiders, Beni, Canyons, Club Mod DJs, Dangerous Dan, Donny Benet, EGO, Holy Balm, Jonathan Boulet, Lancelot, The Laurels, Luke Million, Movement, Otologic, Roland Tings, Slow Blow, Softwar, Standish/Carlyon, Straight Arrows, Super Wild Horses, Van She, Van She Tech and wordlife.

Magic Cactus was founded in 2011 by Doyle and Alicia Kish, who became Sounds Australia's Associate Producer earlier this year.
