Sydney and Melbourne audiences get a chance to see them again.
Aussie 80s alternative pop legends Models had a cracking couple of shows in Melbourne a couple of months ago, so they have decided to put on two more of them before the year is out, and this time they'll venture a little further north for one of them.
The band formed 35 years ago and were one of the frontrunners in the Australian new wave scene through the early 80s, with their 1983 LP The Pleasure Of Your Company – and notably its single Cut Lunch – breaking through to the mainstream and making them a household name.
They split in 1988, but the band have been playing on and off since the turn of the millennium. Sadly they said goodbye to their bassist and vocalist James Freud back in 2010 after he tragically passed away, but the band kicked back into action and are ready to play the old hits and even a stack of new songs for their fans.
The band have a new record set for release in 2014 and will be selling some limited edition EPs at these shows, which will give you a taste of what they have up their sleeve for the forthcoming release.
