With a record and accompanying book slated for release in September, renowned Aussie chanteuse Missy Higgins has named supported tour dates.

Expecting a baby early January, a September/October run around the country in support of OZ will be Higgins' only Australian shows for at least 12 months.

Proudly presented by The Music, the tour kicks off at Cairns Civic Theatre on Saturday 20 September, with tickets going on sale this Thursday.

OZ and its companion book of essays focuses on eclectic Australian cover versions, and is set to be released 19 September.
