Ministry Of Sound returns to Australian soil once again with the newest instalment of Testament, a commemoration of the unforgettable clubbing scene of the '90s and '00s.
The Australian leg of the dance conglomerate announced on Wednesday, 15th May, that their latest Testament tour would be taking place across seven cities in two weekends from 30th August to 8th September, with 12 shows all up. Shows will take place across Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Gold Coast, Sunshine Coast, Perth, and a stint in Auckland as well.
A pioneer of the world of nightlife from the beginning of the 90s, Ministry Of Sound’s Testament series is a chance to pay tribute to that golden era of liberating house music or pulsating techno and to reflect on the cities that came alive at night to accommodate the scene.
This year’s Testament will feature ten headlining DJs, including house DJ and pioneer of the UK club scene Danny Rampling (UK), multi-faceted creative Judge Jules (UK), Seb Fontaine (UK), and X-Press 2 (UK). Meanwhile, each city will also contain its own curated list of home-grown talent.
Last year’s Testament entertained with an electrifying line-up featuring international talent such as Detroit’s techo powerhouse Inner City (US), house music legend Barbara Tucker (US), and English producer/DJ Tall Paul, to name a few. The night threaded the sweet sounds of 90s breaks and some of the iconic rave dance moves of the scene, with each city adding its own flair of local nostalgia, as snapped by The Music.
Whether you were in the mosh at the turn of the century or want to experience what you missed out on, Ministry Of Sound aims to get your nostalgia churning.
