With some very special guests.

More Midnight Oil More Midnight Oil

In the lead up to their Makarrata Live tour, Aussie legends Midnight Oil have confirmed a special Sydney ‘warm-up’ date this month.

The intimate performance, featuring work off their new mini-album alongside iconic Midnight Oil songs of reconciliation, will take place at Sydney’s newly refurbished Enmore Theatre next Thursday, February 25, with First Nations collaborators Dan Sultan, Alice Skye, Troy Cassar-Daley, Tasman Keith and Leah Flanagan, the latter of whom will also perform a special acoustic set.

The upcoming tour is in celebration of the band’s latest album, The Makarrata Project, and its supporting shows will highlight The Uluru Statement From The Heart which "calls for a Makarrata – or 'truth telling' – to account for the theft of lands and displacement of First Nations people".

The dates will also be the first without bass player Bones Hillman, who passed away last November, with Midnight Oil announcing Sydney bassist Adam Ventoura will play the upcoming shows with them.

Ticket pre-sale for the Enmore Theatre show will commence at 11am AEDT this Wednesday before general public on sale this Thursday at 1pm AEDT.
