The four-day festival will be held in Chicago in August
Australia will have a typically scant but nonetheless commanding presence at this year's Lollapalooza festival, with the newly revealed line-up including a handful of in-demand local acts among the bulging ranks.
Hugely buzzworthy trio Middle Kids — fresh off making a splash at SXSW and their appearance on Conan last month — lead the local charge with a spot on the first day of the festival (along with Adelaide outfit Atlas Genius) before Vance Joy and Alison Wonderland step out on the third.
If you want to get loose with your definition of "local", then New Zealand neighbour Lorde is also on the cards, sitting atop a stuffed Thursday line-up that also includes the likes of Muse, Cage The Elephant, Wiz Khalifa, Porter Robinson, Liam Gallagher, Migos, Spoon and more.
The wider festival will see sets from a healthy sonic mix of acts, including headliners such as The Killers, Blink-182, DJ Snake, Run The Jewels, Chance The Rapper, The xx, Alt-J, The Head & The Heart, Arcade Fire, Justice, Big Sean, The Shins and Zeds Dead alongside a stack of established and emergent crowd favourites such as Rae Sremmurd, Tove Lo, Car Seat Headrest, Charli XCX, Grace Mitchell, SOfi Tukker, Noname, Royal Blood, Warpaint, Jai Wolf, Foster The People, Little Dragon, PUP, Bishop Briggs, Kevin Devine, Temples and a whole mess of others.
