Mick Jagger is engaged to his longtime partner, Melanie Hamrick.
The pair have been engaged for “two or three years” but have largely kept their relationship private. However, Hamrick opened up about her relationship with the rocker, discussing his being a father to their son, Deveraux, and their happiness even with a 44-year age difference. Hamrick is 37, and Jagger is 81.
Hamrick confirmed the couple’s engagement in a new interview with Paris Match, but said they don’t have concrete plans for a wedding. “Maybe one day we’ll marry, maybe not,” she told the publication. “We are so happy in our current life that I would be too afraid to change anything.”
Jagger and Hamrick have been together since 2014 and welcomed a song, Deveraux, in 2016. Hamrick is a choreographer and former ballerina. She met the Rolling Stones frontman while he was on tour before being brought together by a mutual acquaintance.
Addressing their age difference, Hamrick shared that she doesn’t care what people think of her relationship, as long as she and Jagger are happy.
“Why worry about other people's opinions? Stop at what they think of us,” she said. “Am I happy? Yes. Are the people in my life happy? Yes. Am I hurting anyone? No... As long as everyone is happy and healthy, everything is fine.”

Hamrick hasn’t been married before. If she and Jagger decide to tie the knot, he’ll be married for the second time. He was married to Bianca Jagger from 1971 to 1978, with whom he shares one child. Jagger also has children with Marsha Hunt, Jerry Hall, and Luciana Gimenez Morad.
In October 2023, The Rolling Stones released their first album in 18 years, Hackney Diamonds. The album features guest collaborators, including the band’s late drummer, Charlie Watts and former bassist Bill Wyman, as well as Lady Gaga, Stevie Wonder, Paul McCartney, and Elton John.
