UK Comedian Michael McIntyre Announces 2016 Aussie Tour Dates

The celebrated UK comedian will hit local shores in October

Renowned British funnyman Michael McIntyre will bring his lauded show, Happy & Glorious, to Australia this October for a run of arena dates.

McIntyre, the UK's biggest-selling comedian and a legitimate keyholder for London's O2 Arena, will commence his antipodean jaunt in Sydney, where he'll perform at Qudos Bank Arena on Friday, 21 October, heading down to Melbourne's Rod Laver Arena the following evening, 22 October. From there, he heads up the coast to Brisbane to perform at the Convention Centre on Monday 24 October, giving himself a day off to hop across the country to land in Perth on Wednesday 26 October, when he'll wrap his Aussie tour at Perth Arena.

Happy & Glorious follows McIntyre's lauded 2012 tour Showtime, which was not only the world's biggest-selling comedy tour that year but included a record-breaking 10-night residency at O2 (that might help explain why they gave him the keys) and did gangbusters as a DVD release, seeing the comedian take out the top spot on the Christmas sales charts. That's before we even start to consider the number of countries — such as South Africa, Norway, the United Arab Emirates, New Zealand, Singapore and, of course, Australia — in which he's set foot and split sides. He simply keeps moving from strength to strength, and now we're set to benefit from that later this year.

McIntyre will be joined at his shows by Paul Tonkinson.
