New film ‘Metallica: Through the Never’ has broken international IMAX records, with the film officially grossing the most money in an opening week than any other previous IMAX release. “The groundbreaking 3D spectacular – which stars Dane Dehaan and features a mix of narrative and a live, stupid-big Metallica show, opened this weekend to an estimated $1.67 million, nabbing an estimated $780,000 on its first day,” Metal Hammer reports. ‘Metallica: Through the Never’ is due to hit Australian screens on October 10.
