Victoria's much-loved Meredith Festival will not go ahead in 2021.
Organisers announced the news today, marking the second year in a row the festival will not proceed due to COVID-19.
"I am writing to let you know that the 30th Meredith is not happening this December. It’s just not possible at this time to make Meredith," read the statement from 'Aunty Meredith' today.
"I want to acknowledge all who worked hard and dreamed even harder to will this year’s festival into being. And everyone who sent letters checking in on us, with ideas, hopes and wishes - I feel your energy. Thank you. Here at The Sup’, when the time is right, Meredith will Happen, for the 30th and Very First Time."
"We’ll all be together again, on the slight incline of The ‘Sup," closed the statement. "Until then, my door is always open."
The 2019 festival was a big one for Meredith, which featured live sets from big global and local acts like Liam Gallagher, Róisín Murphy, Briggs, Amyl & The Sniffers and Julia Jacklin.

The festival is running its Supernatural Gift Shoppe online where punters can pick up a range of goods, including the Meredith Community Tucker Tent Apron and Tee with funds raised by the two products going back into the Meredith community.
