Collingwood will play host to a brand new street festival celebrating the best in arts, culture, music and community this November when the first Peel Street Festival rolls into the suburb.
The event is set to be the suburb's largest outdoor music festival in years, and features the express aim of bringing Yarra's community together in an effort to combat gentrification with integration, in a big ol' celebration of the City Of Yarra's cultural and creative diversity.
"The Peel Street Festival will transform Peel Street into a vibrant, inclusive, public open space," its organisers say. "Featuring some of Australia's best music, local food and charities, community crafts, a record fair, an interactive kids park and much more."
Peel Street Festival's musical line-up is set to be announced on Tuesday 26 September, so be sure to check back then for all the details on who'll be soundtracking the shindig, along with all the other attractions set to lace the street on 11 November.
