It's a year of changes for the short film festival
This year's Melbourne Tropfest is looking to hold itself across 50-60 venues after it emerged that its usual home, the Sidney Myer Music Bowl, would be unavailable this December.
Fairfax are reporting that that the iconic short film festival is now calling out to venues that might be interested in hosting an event, and comes after the festival announced it was moving from February to December. In Sydney. It is also moving from the Domain to Centennial Park in Sydney.
Although the Melbourne leg could still find another venue, they organisers are hoping to capitalise on their SBS2 deal and create a large network of venues around the city and surrounds who will host the films.
