Soul singers reunite for launch of new compilation CD
For one night only, some of Melbourne's finest female soul singers - Kylie Auldist, Stella Angelico, Chelsea Wilson, Lisa Faithfull and Christina Arnold - will be celebrating five years of collaborative performances as Women Of Soul at The Theatre Royal, Castlemaine.
Curated by Chelsea Wilson, singer and Music Manager at PBS 106.7FM, and produced by award-winning Jake Mason of Cookin' on 3 Burners, they're also celebrating the release of the debut compilation, Melbourne's Women Of Soul, ten new recordings showcasing a range of genres including funk, neo, garage and Northern, reflective of the sound of Melbourne soul.
Backing the Women Of Soul on the night are an all-star band comprising of members of Melbourne funk band The Bamboos, Deep Street Soul and Cookin' on 3 Burners among others. For details, go to theGuide.
