The Brian Jonestown MassacreAhead of next month's full unveiling of its 2015 program, the Melbourne Music Week (MMW) has today announced two international guests to make the trip down to Australia this November and it is none other than US psychedelic rock royalty The Brian Jonestown Massacre and German composer Robert Henke.
Conveniently enough, BJM will already be heading to Aus for their 25th anniversary tour so the timing is perfect for the San-Fran founded act who are set to bring the Melbourne Town Hall to life with a two hour show on Sunday 15 November.
The band's show will incorporate the historic Grand Organ and utilise the almost 10,000 pipes across the three Town Hall floors.
Meanwhile on Thursday 19 November Henke will for the first time in Australia premiere his Lumiere II performance at Melbourne Recital Hall, using lasers through a piece of software created by the Berlin artist himself.
The following evening Henke will host a separate event in which he takes fans behind the scenes of the production, as well as a history of his laser works.
The full 2015 Melbourne Music Week program will be announced on 7 October and tickets to the BJM and Henke shows are available now — head to the MMW website for more details.
