"Friend to so many, and such a nice guy."
Melbourne music industry personality Anthony Horan has passed away.
Described as “a well-known figure in Melbourne's music scene, friend to so many, and such a nice guy”, Horan previously wrote for Inpress, which later became The Music, and championed local indie artists.
He was also a beloved DJ, frequently driving retro and indie nights.
In ’95, Horan produced Tingly for Amy Flower's studio "band" Pop!, a track that featured Angie Hart.
You can read some of Horan’s contributions to Inpress here and listen to Tingly below.

Very sad to hear about the passing of the lovely Anthony Horan. He was one of the first people to believe in me both as a filmmaker and DJ and his passion for music and film was always wonderful to be around. Will miss dancing to your tunes ❤️

I'm sure a lot of us had spent time dancing to one of his DJ sets at some time over the years. A well known figure in Melbourne's music scene, friend to so many, and such a nice guy. RIP
So shocked and saddened to learn that the lovely and funny Anthony Horan has passed away. Even in his last FB post, he was joshing about going to hospital with organ problems. No one could really tell how serious it was. RIP.
