Melbourne Metal Band Tweet Their Way To Soundwave

Victorian progressive/extreme metal outfit Ne Obliviscaris proved that those who ask shall receive on Twitter today, when they let fly with an off-the-cuff tweet directed towards Soundwave promoter AJ Maddah.

“Our new album is all mixed- out later this year- doing a huge world tour and SW15 could fit in nicely if keen to have us?” the band tweeted.

What they probably didn't expect was what happened next, when Maddah quite legitimately appeared to take them up on the query after another punter offered that "this would be amazing":

Of course, it wouldn't be totally fair to suggest they landed on the bill solely for their ballsy tweet - in the words of Mr Maddah himself, "It doesn't hurt that the band are brilliant and have earned their place at the festival!"

Best get practicing, boys – it looks like we may just have had our first act announced for Soundwave 2015.
