The '80s art-rock heroes will head around the country at the end of this year

Veteran Aussie art-rock legends Models have had a lengthy and storied career, seeing more members come and go over the years than hit songs, but the long-lived outfit have nailed down what is arguably their 'breakthrough' line-up — featuring founder Sean Kelly and classic members Mark Ferrie and Andrew Duffield, along with drummer Ashley Davies — for a national tour this December.

The band will stop off in all major capital cities to perform cuts from their oeuvre of albums, including 1980's Alphabravocharliedeltaechofoxtrotgolf, 1981's Cut Lunch and Local And/Or General, 1983's The Pleasure Of Your Company and 1985's Out Of Mind Out Of Sight.

The band kick off their run of shows with a pair of performances in their hometown of Melbourne, at the Flying Saucer, on 11 & 12 December, over which they'll respectively perform Local And/Or General and The Pleasure Of Your Company in their entirety. From there, the band will hit stages in Adelaide (15 December), Perth (16 December), Sydney (18 December), Gold Coast (19 December), Brisbane (20 December), and once more unto Melbourne once the new year rolls around — they play Croxton Park Hotel on 29 January 2016 — before wrapping up the experience on 30 January at the Geelong Wool Exchange.

Tickets for Models' 2015/16 national tour will go on sale this coming Tuesday 6 October; for more venue, date and booking information, see theGuide or check The Music App.
