"There's no doubt in my mind that ABC is a perfect fit for me."
ABC Music has officially become the home of country-pop artist Melanie Dyer, following today's announcement of Dyer signing with the iconic Aussie label.
Boasting the likes of The Audreys, Jeff Lang, Tim Rogers and the Wiggles on its stacked roster, ABC Music continues to champion a vast array of local music alongside its status as being one of Australia's largest independent music labels. And currently wielding a reputation as one of the leading artists in the country-pop realms, Dyer's signing with the formidable Aussie label cements this continuing success story.
“I’m really excited and honoured to be joining ABC Music," said Dyer of her recent signing.
"Over the years I have naturally gravitated towards the ABC team at gigs, award shows and industry events. I've always felt heard and supported, especially being led by such strong, nurturing women in Natalie Waller and Jenny Peachey. There's no doubt in my mind that ABC is a perfect fit for me and I can't wait to work with the rest of the team and release all the new songs I've been working on.”
Alongside the announcement today, ABC Music’s Jenny Peachey said, “We are excited to have Melanie join us at ABC Music. We look forward to building on her accolades and achievements to date with the new music.”
Dyer has also announced today the impending release of a new single Run Out Of Road due out Friday 3 September which sees the Sydney artist embrace her roots, while also dabbling in some increasingly trademark sparkling pop that grew from a trip to the USA just before the COVID pandemic riled up in Australia last year.

“I wrote Run Out Of Road during my last trip to the USA in Feb 2020 just weeks before COVID hit Australia and they stopped all international flights," Dyer said of the new track.
"I've been so lucky to travel from Gold Coast to California, New Zealand to Memphis and everywhere in between for music. When the world came to a halt in 2020, this song took on a whole new meaning.
"This song is a reminder that life is fleeting and moments are precious. Take every chance to wander, fall in love and enjoy the ride because we all know how quickly it can be taken away.”
Dyer plans to hit the road in Queensland later this month, head to theGuide for more info.
