Megan Thee Stallion has taken aim at the “haters” who criticised her throughout rapper Tory Lanez’s highly-publicised trial.

ICYMI: Lanez, whose real name is Daystar Peterson, shot Megan (real name Megan Pete) following a party at Kylie Jenner’s Hollywood Hills home on July 12, 2020. He was found guilty of three felony charges in December — including assault with a semiautomatic firearm, discharging a firearm with gross negligence, and having a loaded unregistered firearm in a vehicle.

Now that the court case is behind her, Meg addressed the crowd about the ordeal during her set at Outside Lands Festival on Sunday (Aug. 13) and slammed those who claimed she was lying about being shot by the Savage rapper.

“I just wanna say, fuck all my haters,” she said. “None of that shit you was doing or saying broke me. None of that shit y’all be doing or saying to the Hotties broke them.”

“And I want all of the Hotties to put they mothafucking middle fingers up right now.”

During Lanez’s trial, Meg gave an emotional insight into how the shooting had affected her and told the court that she had “struggled with whether to attend in person and her absence should be seen as her preserving her mental well-being.”

She said since Tory shot her, "I've not experienced a single day of peace."

“He lied to anyone that would listen and paid bloggers to disseminate false information about the case on social media. He released music videos and songs to damage my character and continue his crusade,” Megan said of Lanez.

“At first, he tried to deny the shooting ever happened. Then, he attempted to place the blame on my former best friend. In his tantrum of lies, he’s blamed the system, blamed the press and, as of late, he’s using his childhood trauma to shield himself and avoid culpability.”

“For once, the defendant must be forced to face the full consequences of his heinous actions and face justice.”

Megan added that “mercy is for people who show remorse, and Lanez has shown none.”

In a final message to fans before commencing his sentence, Lanez claimed he was innocent of the charges he was convicted of.

The statement read: “To the Umbrellas, I have never let a hard time intimidate me. I will never never let no jail time eliminate me Regardless of how they try to spin my words, I have always maintained my innocence and I always will.”

“This week in court I took responsibility for all verbal and intimate moments that I shared with the parties involved.... That's it. In no way shape or form was I apologizing for the charges I'm being wrongfully convicted of. I remain on the stance that I refuse to apologise for something that I did not do.”

He continued, “I've faced adversity my whole life and every time it looked like I would lose, I came out on top. This is nothing but another moment where my back is against the wall and I refuse to stop fighting till I come out victorious.”

“Tough times don't last, tough people do. To my family, friends and umbrellas thank you for your continued support. See you soon.”
