"One of the songs on the album is just me playing piano and singing..."
As we eagerly wait to hear more new material from chanteuse Meg Mac, the ARIA-nominated Melburnian has locked in a release date for her debut album, Low Blows, as well as a couple of headline shows.
Having delivered the title track a few weeks ago, Meg Mac has confirmed the new record will be out on 14 July and features her recording in Fort Worth, Texas and the famous Electric Lady Studios in NYC.
"I had obviously heard a lot of stories about Electric Lady, so much has happened in that place and so much great music has been made there," she said.
"One of the songs on the album is just me playing piano and singing and we recorded it downstairs in the big studio. It has these amazing murals of aliens and space, I just look at these painting while singing - I was by myself in the room ready to sing - John tells me the story of the ghost that lives there so I sang the whole song a little bit spooked!"
