Noted South American metal musician Max Cavalera has spoken of the progress of his new project with Dillinger Escape Plan vocalist Greg Puciato in a recent audio update.
Speaking on his TheLiveLine profile, Cavalera opened up about the musical developments between Puciato and himself.
"I'm also working with Greg from THE DILLINGER ESCAPE PLAN; we're gonna do a NAILBOMB-type project. We are selecting the musicians right now and getting the songwriting [together]. Greg's gonna come here [to Max's home base in] Phoenix and spend some time with me. We're gonna write some tunes. It's gonna be kind of like NAILBOMB, so it's gonna be a one-off kind of project, super-heavy.
"Me and Greg decided to do it. We had a lot of fun making the 'Rise Of The Fallen' song [on] the SOULFLY 'Omen' CD where me and Greg sang together. We think our voices are really cool together, so we decided to make a whole, full record. And that's gonna come out sometime next year also," Cavalera said.
Puciato himself has been quite busy of late, with Killyourstereo reporting earlier in the week his similar involvement with fellow music identity Devin Townsend. The singer wrote the following comment on his Facebook page on Monday:

"Working on some guest vocals for Devin Townsend's new album, cranking out riffs for an album of thrash brutality with Max Cavalera, plotting DEP shit with Ben and Liam. Caffeinated to the eyeballs. Ducking out for an hour to shred at the gym then back to the grind."
