If recent studio pictures unveiled by Atlanta prog-metallers Mastodon are anything to go by it appears the band are working in some capacity with noted musician Dave Grohl.
Mastodon this week posted a new studio photo album on their Facebook page entitled, 'New Album Recording April 2011'.
Within the photo album includes a picture of Grohl in the studio, with a guitar in hand.
As Gunshyassassin.com muses about the various collaboration possibilities:
"The picture could mean a number of things. Some people are speculating it means Grohl will do some sort of guest appearance on the record, and that’s a great theory. I would love for that to be true.
But, its more likely they’re recording it in Dave’s studio, and Grohl just stopped by to hang with the band for a few," the website writes.
