Popular Atlanta prog-rockers Mastodon have given a very brief update, informing fans that the band is currently writing new material.
Posting on their MySpace page, the quartet wrote the following:
"We are currently in the writing process for the next album. Lot's of riffs have been collected!!!"
Mastodon's last studio album was 2009's critically acclaimed 'Crack the Skye', with the band also releasing an EP for the film 'Jonah Hex' last year.
