24 April 2015 | 11:26 am | Staff Writer

The Kiwi-bred troubadour will play nine shows in Australia and New Zealand this June and July

New Zealand-born, Melbourne-based singer-songwriter Marlon Williams is heading out on tour around Australia and his home country in support of his just-released, critically acclaimed debut album, it has been announced.

The Dark Child scribe has been on a solidly upward trajectory since relocating to Victoria a couple of years ago, finding himself in high-profile slots for events such as Byron Bay Bluesfest, Port Fairy Folk Festival, and the Queenscliff and Meredith Music festivals, as well as appearing on RocKwiz and at TEDx Sydney, all while gathering momentum at headline and support shows all around the country.

With UK and North American tours in the pipeline ahead of his self-titled debut LP's international release this year, Aussie and Kiwi audiences have the chance to experience Williams at the cusp of the next stage of his nascent career when he kicks off his tour Down Under at Adelaide's Jive on Thursday, 2 July, after a run of dates in Wellington, Auckland, Christchurch and Dunedin.
